88FIVE Live At Amoeba Music Hollywood with Brett Dennen

88FIVE Live At Amoeba Music Hollywood with Brett Dennen is brought to you by The Independent 88.5 FM, CSUN, Saddleback College & Amoeba Music Hollywood.

Join 88.5 FM's Gary Calamar, host of The Open Road,  in conversation with the folk/pop singer-songwriter from Central California, Brett Dennen!

Brett Dennen gives us details about his brand new album ‘See The World,’ how much work went into it, the headspace he was in as he began writing and how the process to get this record ready was different from his pre-pandemic recording timelines. He also gives us a peek into the title track, “See The World,” a song largely inspired by his son and how it turned into something bigger. Dennen, an artist who wears many hats, is a tennis player, skier, wine lover, and even a painter! Watch as he reveals his recently created beautiful watercolor piece for 88.5 FM that includes our logo surrounded by some of his musical heroes -- Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Van Morrison & Paul Simon!

This 88FIVE Live At Amoeba Music Hollywood session includes special performances of "See The World," "Paul Newman Daytona Rolex," and "Comeback Kid."
