88.5 The SoCal Sound's music format is Adult Album Alternative, often referred to as “Triple A.”  The format plays brand new music, as well as contemporary and legacy rock for adults, featuring a wide breadth of artists that could include A to Z examples from Adele to Zeppelin.

88.5 The SoCal Sound is a non-profit, member supported, public radio station. Becoming a sponsor or underwriter offers benefits including:

Our simulcast approach allows the music and your message to be heard both on the terrestrial 88.5 FM radio signal and online on several devices, including cars, at work on computers, tablets and smart phones.

While 88.5 The SoCal Sound is an adult rock music station 24/7, we share a lot of listening with NPR News.
