Who would have thought that people would venture from their homes and pay money for a old movie they’ve already seen, that they have on DVD or could stream at home to watch in their cars! And THEY said, streaming would take over and theaters are dead! Guess what? The events are selling out way in advance! So it’s not surprising that the opportunity to see live music from your car has been greeted with incredible enthusiasm!

In 1956, Elvis Presley was termed “the most controversial entertainer since Liberace” by Billboard magazine. On the same day, Elvis was booked for three appearances on Ed Sullivan’s widely watched Sunday night variety program — this after Sullivan declared that Elvis and his gyrating hips would never be welcomed back.

In 1979, Genesis’s album Duke went Gold, thanks to songs like “Misunderstanding” and “Turn It On Again.”
