Cuffed Up has a full length LP, released last fall titled “All You Got”, and they join Tristan Dolce, who was pulling double duty both recording AND hosting the interview!
Cuffed Up is a local Los Angeles based trio, comprised of Ralph Torrefranca on guitar and vocals, Joe Liptock on drums, and the newest addition to the band, Christine Apostolopoulos in 2022.
Torrefranca and Liptok had bonded over a mutual admiration for Death Cab For Cutie, one that is shared by Tristan Dolce as well. They explain in the interview about how initially both Torrefranca and Liptok started in a DCFC cover band "Expo 86 was the name of the band… It’s a Transatlaticism song that no one really mentions ever…. and that morphed into another band called Dr Doctor and when that band kind of started to fixxle out a little bit, that was when we started writing stuff for Cuffed Up”
