All of us at The SoCal Sound are heartbroken to learn that the beloved Dolly Parton, songwriter, actress, author, businesswoman, and philanthropist, has died at 80.
From her roots in the Smoky Mountains to her place as one of the most recognizable and influential artists in American music, Dolly built a legacy with her brilliant storytelling, humor, kindness and generosity. Her music crossed generations and genres, while her Imagination Library brought millions of books to children around the world. AP and The Guardian reported her death today.
