Winnetka Bowling League is set to release a full length LP titled Sha La La and they join SoCal Sound’s Program Director and Evenings host Mookie for a chat!

Winnetka Bowling League is comprised of Sam Beresford on keys, Kris Mazzarisi on drums, and Matthew Koma on vocals and is the main songwriter.
This album is all about embracing where you are in your life, as sort of a ‘post-coming of age’. Koma, who is now 36, explains the influence of age on writing this album “And that's very, very full well of ideas to write about and things to explore when, when writing. I think for whatever reason, I don't feel like I want to write songs about the great life that I'm happy in. Just those aren't the kinds of songs that I think I relate to when I hear them. So for whatever reason, I feel like I've become a bit more retrospective and thinking about, I don't know what life has been up until now and why it's gone that way, and having a little bit more kindness towards the kid I was that was really hard on himself.”
