Rob Romero remembers his dad showing him how to carefully handle and gently needle-drop the turntable stylus on “The Harder They Come” soundtrack vinyl when he was 7-years old. That early vinyl moment ignited a lifelong love of music. His resume is as diverse as his musical tastes. He is a native Angeleno and proud Gen X-er whose family moved to Northridge when he was in junior high. He took a detour toward the Bay Area to earn a Legal Studies degree from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and returned to the San Fernando Valley to work in animation as both producer and artist. A long-time volunteer for The SoCal Sound, you will often find him at station events/concerts and occasionally helping with their social media graphics.
When not listening to vinyl, he’s on his yoga mat, badly playing his guitar, hiking the Santa Monica Mountains, or serving his cat rescue, Liam, treats.
